Ayah: “Those who believe and find peace in remembering Allah. Truly, hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah.” (Quran 13:28)

Ayah: “Do not mix the truth with lies, and do not hide the truth when you know it.” (Quran 2:42)

                           وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍۢ فَخُورٍۢ                       

Ayah: “Don’t turn your face away from people in pride, and don’t walk conceited on earth. Allah does not like those who are proud and full of themselves.” (Quran 31:18)

Shukr is the method when a person expresses thanks for Allah’s favors. And when one’s heart finds satisfaction. A grateful Muslim always shows his/her gratitude to Almighty Allah.                                            وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌۭ                                         

Ayah: “And remember when your Lord said, ‘If you are thankful, I will give you more; but if you are ungrateful, My punishment will be very severe.” (Quran 14:7)

7. Qualities of a Good Muslim: Justice and Fairness

Justice is among the main principles of Islam as a religion. They are expected to be fair in dealing with each other. Whether as individuals or in business people are expected to do business fairly despite the closeness of the relationship between the parties involved. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ ٱعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ

Ayah: “O you who believe, stand firm for Allah and be fair witnesses. Don’t let the hatred of others stop you from being just. Being just is closer to doing what is right.” (Quran 5:8)

8. Qualities of a Good Muslim: Generosity and Charity (Sadaqah)

Charity is an act of giving and an act of sanitizing money. Throughout Islamic teachings, Muslims are required to donate some of their wealth to the less privileged in society for minimal suffering. Ayah: “The example of those who give their money for the sake of Allah is like a seed that grows into seven ears of grain, with a hundred grains in each ear.” (Quran 2:261)

وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ لَا تَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًۭا وَذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَقُولُوا۟ لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًۭا وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّنكُمْ وَأَنتُم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Ayah: “Speak kindly to others, pray regularly, and give charity (zakah).” (Quran 2:83)
